Description

The blend of Shiraz and Viognier is nothing new. Its spiritual home is in the Northern Rhone, where Viognier lends its aromatic perfume to the big, lush Syrah’s of the region. Australia also blends the two, with bottles most commonly coming out of South Australia. The grapes are fermented together, and the result is a deep, dark wine filled with savoury notes of pepper and cedar and lifted with Viognier florals like rose and violet. This one is great value for money and we’re sure it’s going to fly out of the warehouse. Grab a case before they’re gone. Drink now and into 2024.

Bright crimson in colour, with luscious and exotic aromas of cherries, boysenberry and hints of white pepper and violets. A full-bodied palate that is framed by flavours of sweet Turkish delight and cherries. Velvety tannins provide a perfect complement to the cherry ripe finish which shows the synergy between the Shiraz and Viognier.

Enjoy with beef skewers or Moroccan spiced grilled eggplant covered in sautéed ripe tomatoes, chilli and fresh herbs.

Yalumba "live and breathe sustainability" and to date have 43 accolades globally for sustainable practices such as sustainable winegrowing. They have been developing their own sustainable viticulture program since the mid 1990s and now, amongst other systems and practices, have at least one hectare of native vegetation for every hectare of vineyard.
