A superb wine - perfectly blended to create a seamless, deep and complex blend with silky tannins and excellent cellaring potential.

Generously, beautifully balanced with rich fruit and wonderful regional and varietal integrity. Deep crimson with purple hues in colour, the wine exhibits aromas of fleshy cassis, dark fruits and intense bay leaf supported by spice and cedar. Concentrated, tight tannins are the backbone of the wine with mulberry, olive, savoury notes on the palate and toasted oak influence.

Serve with char grilled beef rib eye with roast vegetables and red wine jus.

Fruit was sourced from various vineyards situated across the famous terra rossa strip in Coonawarra, this free draining soil is essential in driving the concentration, depth and flavour development. Lower yielding, older vines are targeted to ensure the fruit has the intensity to reach the expectations of St Hugo.
