One sunny day, while enjoying a few beerzies, three Marlborough-based winemakers came together to embark on a unique venture—creating wines under the singular brand, Vandal. This "side project" grants each member the freedom to craft wines that may veer into unconventional territory, but rest assured, at the core of the Vandal ethos is the commitment to making wines that are incredibly enjoyable and easy to appreciate.

Vandal's Militia Field Blend is a lively mix of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Viognier, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Riesling, and Tempranillo from Marlborough's Southern Valleys. The Vandal team went all-in on this one, and the result is a wonderfully complex and oddly satisfying wine. It starts with fruity aromas, and transitions to tropical notes and herbs on the palate. This wine packs enough flavour to hold its own with robust dishes, even handling a good curry. Give it a try – it's unlike anything you've tasted!
