Maude Pinot Noir is fermented in open-topped tanks, hand-plunged, and uses indigenous yeasts with a portion of whole bunch in each fermenter to create complexity. The wine is then aged in French oak barriques for 10 months before bottling, resulting in a dark and brooding wine with aromas and flavors of black fruits, violets, and wild thyme.

This wine has been listed in the 2019 Fine Wines of New Zealand list, a testament to its exceptional quality and taste. It pairs perfectly with a variety of dishes, including roasted meats, grilled vegetables, and rich cheeses.
