Lake Chalice 'The Raptor' Pinot Noir 2023
Trust your Taste
Ripe berries and plum are layered with chocolate, thyme and toasted oak in this Marlborough Pinot Noir. A rich, velvety middle makes it feel generous, while savoury details keep it interesting. Try it if you enjoy Pinot with both soft texture and plenty to explore.

How this wine feels
The texture is plush and smooth, with dark fruit filling the middle of your mouth. Herbs, chocolate and toasted notes linger alongside the fruit. It is a richer, more savoury style than a very light, simple Pinot.
The sliders show how strongly each characteristic comes through. Higher does not mean better.
How much presence and firmness the wine has in your mouth.
The drying, gripping feeling on your gums.
The fresh, mouth-watering edge of the wine.
Bitter, herbal or savoury character beyond the fruit.
How smooth and rounded the wine feels.
Ripe fruit character. This is not a sugar-sweetness rating.
Ripe fruit flavours can be present in dry wines. Sweet-Fruit Expression describes fruit character, not residual sugar.
