Label Damaged Hendrick's Orbium Gin 700ml

Henrick's Orbium is known as a quinine gin, as it was distilled with additional extracts of quinine, wormwood, and blue lotus blossom. Created by the legendary master distiller Lesley Gracie, Orbium contains the same base distillates as Hendrick's and is made in batches of just 500 litres.

Orbium derives from the word 'orb', the plural of Orbis and Latin for circle. Gracie felt this circular symbol represented the gin's rounded character and the all-seeing eye on the bottle design mirrors this theme.

Nose: Floral lotus and a woody quinine bitterness balance beautifully against bright juniper and lemon zest.

Palate: Herbaceous coriander, a flash of tart citrus, and a helping of that trademark cucumber bring depth and complexity to the prominent, sweet floral tones. Bitter bark notes fill the backdrop.

Finish: Earthy wormwood, dried grass, and piney juniper bring Orbium to a close.

Overall: A real departure from Hendrick's, Orbium is a worthy experiment. Distinct and delicious.
