From Gisborne fruit grown on Hamish Jackson’s Brunton Road vineyard and made by Andrew Nimmo, this 2019 Merlot was fermented in open-top fermenters, then matured with French and American oak influence to build softness and texture. At 12.4% alcohol, it sits in a very drinkable zone: generous enough to feel like a proper red, but easy enough to enjoy any night of the week.

This is the kind of wine to reach for when you want a red that is friendly, familiar and crowd-pleasing. Perfect with pizza, burgers, roast chicken, pasta or a midweek steak.
