Details

Chimay Blue, also known as Chimay Grand Reserve, is a Belgian Trappist beer with a rich, complex flavor profile and a storied history. This dark, full-bodied beer is brewed in the heart of Belgium's Chimay Abbey by Trappist monks who have been making beer for over 150 years. The unique brewing process used by the monks produces a beer that is both smooth and strong, with a rich, malty flavor and hints of dark fruit and spices.

The Chimay brewery has its roots in the 1850s, when the Trappist monks of the Chimay Abbey first began brewing beer as a source of income. Over the years, the brewery has become known for its high-quality beers, and Chimay Blue has become one of its most popular offerings. The deep blue color of Chimay Blue is a testament to its strength, which clocks in at 9% ABV. Despite its high alcohol content, this beer is incredibly well-balanced, with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel and a clean, crisp finish.

Whether you're a beer connoisseur or just someone who appreciates a good brew, Chimay Blue is sure to impress. So why not take a break from your usual brews and try something truly special? Crack open a Chimay Blue, pour it into a tulip glass, and savor the complex, satisfying flavor of this world-renowned Belgian Trappist beer with a rich history.
