A Chardonnay that breaks the mold, the Cable Bay Waiheke Island Chardonnay 2019 is a true standout. This family-owned winery has been producing exceptional wines for years, and this vintage is no exception.

The Cable Bay winery is located on the stunning Waiheke Island, just a short ferry ride from Auckland. The winery is family-owned and operated, with a focus on sustainable practices and traditional winemaking techniques.

The 2019 Chardonnay is a departure from the traditional Waiheke style, with a nose that is both complex and inviting. Notes of brioche, lemon blossom, and fresh nectarine are complemented by a distinct flintiness that adds depth and character.

On the palate, the wine is defined by its fine phenolic texture and mineral acidity. The fruit concentration is impressive, with a creamy mid-palate weight that creates a generous mouthfeel. The wine is defined and focused by its structure, providing incredible presence and persistence.

This Chardonnay is a perfect pairing for a range of dishes, including roasted chicken, grilled seafood, and creamy pasta dishes. Its complexity and depth make it a great choice for special occasions or for enjoying with friends and family.
