Brookfields Robertson Pinot Gris 2025
Trust your Taste
Nashi pear, peach, melon and lychee make this Hawke’s Bay Pinot Gris wonderfully inviting. A rich, rounded middle and a touch of spice give it more substance than a very light white. Try it with prawn risotto or enjoy a glass when you want fragrant fruit and a smooth feel.
?
Rich roundness, moderate acidity and pronounced ripe fruit favour the Soft palate zone. PalateKey groups wines by how they feel, helping you find styles you enjoy. Your own taste comes first.
This suits you if you enjoy rich, fragrant Pinot Gris with ripe fruit and a smooth texture.
It may not suit you if you prefer very lean whites with a racy, sharp finish.

How this wine feels
The fruit feels generous and rounded, with a rich middle rather than a sharp citrus edge. Gentle texture from time on the lees adds softness. Expect moderate freshness and very little drying grip, so the ripe fruit stays at the centre of the experience.
The sliders show how strongly each characteristic comes through. Higher does not mean better.
How much presence and firmness the wine has in your mouth.
The drying, gripping feeling on your gums.
The fresh, mouth-watering edge of the wine.
Bitter, herbal or savoury character beyond the fruit.
How smooth and rounded the wine feels.
Ripe fruit character. This is not a sugar-sweetness rating.
Ripe fruit flavours can be present in dry wines. Sweet-Fruit Expression describes fruit character, not residual sugar.
Behind the bottle
Grown on arid alluvial soils in Brookfields’ warm Ohiti Valley site in Hawke’s Bay.
Cool-fermented juice remained on its lees with regular stirring to enhance texture and flavour.
