Viognier is still a rarity in New Zealand, and Nelson is one of the few regions where it really thrives. The 2023 Sheepshank Knot is exactly that style: aromatic without being perfumed, textural without being heavy.

What it tastes like (clean and modern):
• Stonefruit, apricot skin, gentle ginger
• Medium weight, quietly silky
• Fresh finish — not oily or sweet

Why it works:
Viognier can get loud. This one doesn’t. It’s restrained, coastal, and balanced — a Nelson interpretation with clarity and lift. Great with Asian cuisine, roast chicken, mild curries, soft cheeses.
