Details
Ready for a sip that's as audacious as it is authentic? Allow me to introduce you to the Adega de Penalva Milénio Red 2020. This isn't just a red wine; it's a harmonious blend of Touriga Nacional and Aragonês grapes, capturing the soul of Portugal's Dão region in every drop.
The Look: A Ruby Revelation
First up, let's talk color. This wine sports a radiant ruby hue that's as inviting as a Portuguese sunset. It's the kind of red that promises an adventure for your taste buds.
The Aroma: A Fruity Prelude
Inhale, and you'll be greeted by an aroma that's both fruity and attractive. It's like the wine is whispering, "Get ready, you're in for a treat."
The Craft: A Fusion of Techniques
Fermented in stainless steel vats under controlled temperatures and aged briefly in barrels, this wine is a masterclass in balance. It brings together the best of both worlds: the ripe fruit aroma from modern fermentation techniques and the structure and balance imparted by traditional barrel aging.
The Taste: An Irreverent Experience
Take a sip, and you'll find an intense flavor profile that's as bold as it is balanced. The tannins? They're irreverent and full of character, just like the Touriga Nacional and Aragonês grapes from which they come. And the finish? Long and fresh, leaving a lasting impression that beckons for another sip.
The Specs: A Well-Balanced Rebel
With an alcohol content of 13% vol and a total acidity of 5.2 g/L, this wine is as well-balanced as they come. The volatile acidity of 0.55 g/L adds that extra kick, making each sip a memorable experience.
Food Pairing: A Culinary Wingman
This wine is a culinary powerhouse. Imagine it alongside a hearty beef stew or a plate of spicy chorizo. It's the kind of wine that can stand up to bold flavors and come out shining.
So, are you ready to uncork this Portuguese masterpiece? Here's to the joy of discovery, the freedom to be a little irreverent, and the thrill of tasting something truly exceptional. Saúde
