Matawhero Gisborne Sv Chardonnay 2025
Trust your Taste
Ripe peach, melon and fig meet butterscotch and a creamy texture in this Gisborne Chardonnay. It is generous and smooth, with a little nutty detail. Try it with chicken, seafood or a mild cheese when you feel like a white with a softer, richer character.
?
Creaminess, gentle acidity and generous ripe fruit clearly favour Soft palates. PalateKey groups wines by how they feel, helping you find styles you enjoy. Your own taste comes first.
This suits you if you enjoy creamy Chardonnay with ripe stone fruit and gentle freshness.
It may not suit you if you prefer very lean, sharply citrusy whites.

Behind the bottle
Mendoza-clone Chardonnay from the Tietjen vineyard in Gisborne’s Hexton Hills, known as the Golden Slopes.
Night-harvested fruit was gently pressed and fermented with indigenous yeast, followed by controlled malolactic fermentation.
