Described as a "dream that became true," BelColle was established 45 years ago by 3 brothers; Franco Pontiglione, Carlo Pontiglione and Guiseppe Priola. A team who would set a framework for a winery that would become renown for the passion put into its product.
Nowadays Belcolle practice sustainable winemaking with manual harvesting, slow grape pressing and balanced maceration, with the entirety of it all being centred around the idea of "transmitting, in whole, the balance and the harmony of the grapes into the bottle..."
Belcolle practice sustainable winemaking with their being to ensure Belcolle is produced in harmony with the land for years to come. Belcolle work sustainably by manual harvesting, slow grape pressing and balanced maceration.
Their sustainability efforts are rewarded in the bottle with the wines becoming true reflections of the land in which they've come from.
"Transmitting, in whole, the balance and the harmony of the grapes into the bottle."
Beyond environmental sustainability, Belcolle share a passion for upholding local customs. This was achieved thanks to the collaboration with the oenologist Paolo Torchio who led the winery from 1980 to 2015 and saw Belcolle become part of the Bosio Family Estates. The Bosio Family Estates talk about being summed up in two words: Family and Heritage. Their success is built from the hard work of those who established Bosio Family Estates and it's something they continue to honour in their winemaking practices and marketing.
