Belcolle Barolo DOCG Simposio 2017 (Italy) An aged 100% Nebbiolo from the heart of Barolo at this price? You won’t find a better deal anywhere else. Crafted from grapes that have been picked from vines with an approximate age of 50, then macerated together for 15 days before being aged for three years in Slavonian casks – it’s a real journey from vine to glass, much like a great symphony. It's garnet red, with a hue of aged orange and is full-bodied and aromatic on the nose. Rose, dried herbs and meat, alongside sweet and savoury spice. It's full-bodied and robust but also smooth and velvety. Drink now or in 5 years.

Orin Swift Palermo 2016 (California) A modern icon - 90 Points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate "Blended with Merlot and Cabernet Franc and aged for ten months in 35% new French oak, the medium to deep garnet-purple coloured 2016 Palermo Cabernet Sauvignon gives up notions of stewed plums, baked blackcurrants and mulberries with hints of tobacco, sautéed herbs and damp soil with a touch of forest floor. Full-bodied, firm and chewy, it gives loads of savoury layers and has a herbal lift on the finish."

Calvet Saint-Joseph 2021 (France) Indulge in the robust allure of Northern Rhône Saint-Joseph 2021 Syrah, characterised by its deep red hue. This wine unfolds with an intriguing blend of spiciness reminiscent of cherry notes and subtle hints of oak. It pairs exceptionally well with wild meats; whether you're savouring beef, lamb, deer, venison, or poultry, each sip enhances the dining experience. Bon appétit!

Louis M. Martini Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 (California) For over 80 years, Martini has crafted world-class Cabernet Sauvignon from exceptional vineyards in Sonoma and Napa counties. Founder Louis M. Martini believed in a simple, honest premise: The best grapes make the best wines. 90 Points & Editor's Choice, Wine Enthusiast "This wine is lighthearted and approachable yet structured, with earthy elements of turned earth and dried herb. The palate is grippy in tannin and dark in blackberry and chocolate flavours."

Zandvliet Hill of Enon Shiraz 2018 (South Africa) The Hill of Enon range was a culmination of many years of walking the rows on the Hill. Zandvliet studied the vines through the season from bud break to harvest, and the result of this unique terroir and careful learning was grapes that ripened ten days before the main crop that were more intensely flavoured. They were harvested separately to create the Hill of Enon range.A small berry pick Shiraz with a delicate layered nose of blueberries, liquorice and dark chocolate. These flavours flow through onto a sophisticated palate with subtle wood integration - plums, cigar box and chocolate finish with a velvety smooth aftertaste.

Calvet Chateauneuf Du Pape 2022 (France) With roots dating back to 1818, Maison Calvet boasts an impressive two centuries of winemaking heritage. Jean Marie Calvet, born in the Rhône Valley, led the family's wine journey across France. This classic wine is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, aged on the lees, and then part of it is in oak. This Limited Release Calvet Chateauneuf du Pape is rich and complex, with wonderful red layered notes of bright cherry and black fruit aromas. Coarse on the palate, the dark fruits carry through to meet a heady, spiced note. Pair exceptionally well with lamb, pork or poultry.
