Grapes were first planted in 1788 in Aussie, but they did not initially do well. At the time, there was a lot of enthusiasm for making wine but less practical know-how. That changed in the 19th century, when several people brought grape growing and wine making knowledge to Australia. In the mid-1800s, immigrants with wine making traditions arrived and brought their wine knowledge with them.

De Bortoli Rosé Rosé 2020 (King Valley) Grown on the De Bortoli family estate in the King Valley, the vines are now over 20 years old and producing wine with great character, balance and complexity. This is a Rosé made predominantly from Sangiovese and pours a pale pink with intense fruity aromas of peach and pomegranate. The palate is round and full with freshness, spice and texture.

Calabria Private Bin Pinot Bianco 2020 (Riverina) A little bit toasty, a little bit herby and a little bit zesty. Delicately fragranced with green melon and soft peach, the palate is then surprisingly soft with textural fruit flavours and a savoury, dry finish.

Killibinbin Seeet Heart Chardonnay 2019 (South Australia) This low alcohol, summer style wine has been made for the young at heart who are looking for a refreshing white wine to enjoy with friends in casual settings. Fruity with a slight spritz it is a perfect afternoon drink or aperitif. 9% abv.

Children of the Revolution Pinot Gris 2020 (Victoria and South Australia) Their Pinot Gris is made in a fruit forward style, ensuring that all varietal character and aroma is kept even after some of the alcohol is removed. Think notes of ripe red Anjou pears, lemon, and subtle jasmine. Lighter alcohol at 9.9% abv.

Duck Point Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 (Barossa) This hand-crafted Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from a vineyard that has 3 generations of producing top quality Barossa wine and a winemaker with over 15 years experience making top end Barossa Reds. Hints of ripe plum and cherry, and pots of pepper and smooth chocolate. A medium bodied wine that has an elegant long finish.  It’s perfect with a traditional Sunday lamb or Beef roast or a premium cut of eye fillet.

Killibinbin Secrets Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz Petit Verdot 2019 (Langhorne Creek) This wine shows dark fruit aromas with a pretty hint of plum and violets. The palate is generous, juicy with fine, velvety Petit Verdot tannins providing a delicious lingering finish. A great food wine.
