Rosso Del Soprano – Sicilia IGT is a captivating wine that embodies the essence of Sicily. The color is a striking ruby red, and the bouquet is an aromatic dance of intense grapey notes, ripe red fruit, and a subtle hint of vanilla. On the palate, this wine is dry and intriguing, leaving a persistent and long finish that beckons for another sip. Crafted from grapes grown in vineyards with southeastern exposure on steep slopes at elevations ranging from 800 to 1,200 feet above sea level, the terroir is as unique as the wine itself. The volcanic basalt soil adds a layer of complexity to the grapes, which are harvested at the end of October and yield about 0.8 tons per acre.
The winemaking process is meticulous, starting with a soft pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels for a year, followed by at least 8 months of bottle aging. With a total production of 22,000 bottles and an alcohol content of 13.5%, this is a wine that promises both exclusivity and potency.
When it comes to food pairings, Rosso Del Soprano is incredibly versatile. Its robust yet elegant profile makes it an excellent choice for fish dishes with sauce, roasted white and red meats, and aged cheeses. With a potential aging window of 3-8 years, this is a wine that you can enjoy now or let evolve, uncovering new layers of complexity over time.

- Pricing For 1-12 bottles, shipping is $6.99 for Auckland, $8.99 for the North Island and $11.99 for the South Island. For 13 or more bottles, shipping is $11.99 for Auckland, $14.99 for the North Island and $17.99 for the South Island.
- Timing We estimate delivery to be up to 3-4 working days for urban NZ addresses, and up to 5 working days for rural delivery.
- Click and collect is available from our Albany warehouse shop.
- We do not ship outside of New Zealand.
- We are unable to deliver to PO Boxes. Delivery is via NZ Couriers.
Returns
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We’ll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
