The King of the red grapes in all its glory!

Cabernet Sauvignon is a cross between Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc and comes from Bordeaux, France. It was only discovered in 1997 that Cabernet Sauvignon was in fact a descendent of Sauvignon Blanc so the knowledge that it comes from Sauv and Cab Franc is relatively new!

Just 'Cos Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 (France) "Sourced from the legendary Metala Vineyards. Matured 18 months in French barriques, 25% new. A big traditional cabernet. Ripe black berries, rich chocolate layering and a chewy palate texture, though the tannins are rich and soft." - James Halliday

Oxford Landing Estates Cabernet Shiraz 2019 (South Australia) Dark red in colour with crimson hues. Aromas of blackberry and plums with subtle notes of blackcurrant and tobacco leaf. The palate is elegantly structured with a silky texture and fruit sweetness to the mid-palate with layers of blackberry and spice, finishing with soft tannins.

Four Cousins Collection Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 (South Africa) Young South African Cab Sauv from the Four Cousins Collection, easy drinking style and full-bodied flavour. Once grapes for the 2021 Four Cousins Cab had reached full ripeness, they were picked by hand from estate vineyards and then transferred to the winery.

Castle Rock Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 A classic, rich Cab Sauv with a dark purple colour and expressive aromas of black cherry and spice. On the palate the wine is intense, luscious and full-bodied with a rich core of berry flavours. There's hints of spice and vanilla in its long, harmonious finish. Makes an excellent accompaniment to beer, lamb, venison and most cheeses.

Cool Woods Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 (Australia) Eden Valley was once heavily forested with eucalypt. Pockets remain with some majestic trees, providing a reminder of what the landscape must have looked like before clearing. ‘Cool Woods’ image of trees is a true representation of the view from our cellar door, on a typically crisp and foggy winter morning. The Cool Woods white range is sourced from not only our Eden Valley Vineyard, but other cool climate South Australian regions. The Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon are produced with a combination of fruit from their Barossa Vineyard and other South Australian regions. The wines display great varietal character, are well balanced and made to enjoy with friends, family and food.

The Rhino Run Organic Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 (South Africa) Organically managed Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot were handpicked from a single estate vineyard and taken to the winery to be crafted into this delicious 2020, delivered to us straight from the shores of South Africa. Typical notes of black plum, forest floor and bramble, it finishes smooth and will be even better with age. Drink now and into the next 5 years.
