In the heart of the Shingleback Vineyard lies a small, special niche where the perfect combination of soil, climate, and Shiraz grapes come together to create something truly remarkable. This is where the Shingleback D Block Shiraz 2016 is born.

Crafted by hand using traditional winemaking practices, this wine is a testament to the family-owned winery's commitment to sustainability and quality. The grapes are gently worked by hand in small, 5 tonne open fermenters to protect and nurture the unique qualities of the terroir.

Once the maturation and oak integration are perfect, individual barrels are selected and blended to create the perfect balance of fruit power, complexity, and harmony that the Shingleback D Block Reserve wines are known for.

The result is a wine that is rich and full-bodied, with notes of blackberry, plum, and spice. On the palate, it is smooth and velvety, with a long, lingering finish. This wine pairs perfectly with hearty meat dishes, such as grilled steak or roasted lamb.

At Shingleback, winemaking is a family tradition that has been passed down through generations. The family's commitment to sustainability and quality is evident in every bottle of wine they produce. By choosing to support family-owned wineries like Shingleback, you are not only enjoying a delicious wine, but also supporting a community of craft and tradition.
