"Parés Baltà is a family-owned winery whose origins go back to 1790. We are winemakers with a lifelong tradition but with young and fresh ideas." - Parés Baltà
Pale amber with a slight, welcome cloudiness typical of natural wine. Summery and fragrant with citrus peels and tropical fruit. A finely structured palate with pleasant density and some tannins balanced well with the bright freshness that this style of wine is known for. This will appeal to those already versed in the natural-wine genre as well as those curious about it. It is a wonderful match with seafood or a Thai curry.
12% ABV.

Jamie Goode's Wine Anorak | 92 Points "They added the press skins from Gewurztraminer to bring a touch of orange. This is bright, fruity, and pithy with pretty pear and table grapefruit and some tangy cherry and lime fruit. Has brightness and a little bit of structure. Very expressive, with a pithy, slightly bitter aftertaste."
Candice Chow | 90 Points "Bright, even, pale burnt-orange. Subtle effervescent. The nose is gently full with bright aromas of stonefruit, citrus peels, orange bitters and blossoms. Medium-bodied, aromas of nectarine and apricot entwined with citrus peels, orange bitters and linger with blossoms. The savoury palate carries a tannin grip, unfolding red tea fragrance and refreshing acidity lend a crisp finish. A savoury, moreish on-skin wine. 12% alc. 18/20 pts (90 pts) Jan 2024"
A family-owned winery in the Penede region with a tradition that goes back to 1790. The grapes come from 5 estates situated around the winery and in the mountains of Penede's. They have always practised organic viticulture and have been organically certified since 2004. They even have a flock of sheep to fertilize the vineyards and bees to help pollinate the vines, bringing in the essence of the Mediterranean ecosystem. The winemaking is in the hands of Maria Elena Jimenez and Marta Casas, enologists and wives of Joan and Josep. Two skilled young women whose efforts are reflected in the quality of the wines that are produced at Pares Balta showing fine character and concentration yet with elegance and balance.
