The Bordeaux appellation is a regional AOC produced in all the vineyards of Bordeaux. The vineyard comprises 42 600 hectares and produced 2,236,700 hectoliters throughout the growing zone of the Gironde department. This AOP is the largest appellation of Bordeaux and best-selling worldwide wines. It meets standards quality set by the INAO (Institut National des Appellations d'Origine). This regional designation is so large that it covers a wide range of soils. For decades, the LAVAUD family has dedicated their time to the development of the wine heritage spread across the best terroir of Bordeaux. The wine of Château Les Maurins comes from a vineyard of 87 hectares located in the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers, between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers.
